For the last few days, I made smoothies as breakfast. The first reason is that is it is really yummy! Now the real reason is that I don’t have much time these days to make anything else as breakfast. So I have been playing around with different things, but I feel like I’ve got a good basis for any breakfast smoothie you might want to make.
I love adding fruits to my smoothies in the morning. My boyfriends really enjoys peanut butter and chocolate, so you’ll get our two favourite smoothies recipes! 🙂
For our smoothies, we are using the Sun Rise Dessert Tofu. The fun thing about this tofu is that it is flavoured. We mostly use the banana, almond and coconut flavours, but the others are good as well. It is also fairly cheap as, around here, it is almost always on sale at two for 5$ (meaning you have enough for four mornings). Of course you can also use any kind of silky tofu.
His recipe:
– 1/2 cup silk tofu
– 1 cup almond/soy milk
– 2 tbsp peanut butter
– 2 tsp cocoa powder
– 1 pitted date
– 3 tsp grounded chia seeds

Her recipe:
– 1/2 cup silk tofu
– 1 cup almond/soy milk
– 1 cup of frozen fruits (I love using strawberries!)
– 2 pitted dates
– 3 tsp grounded chia seeds
These are really tasty! We have been playing around a lot with different fruits and different ways of sweetening our smoothies. However, I find that using dates is a healthy way of doing so; it also adds a really smooth texture to your smoothies.
So these are our favourite morning smoothies, what are yours? Please share! We would love to try them out! Don’t forget to come back this week-end for a very exiting announcement!
That looks soooooo pretty!I’ll definitely try that!
Please do! let us know how you like it 🙂
